Windows doesnt detect my sound card after installing sp2

dxdiag shows that there is no sound card, but Device manager shows the sound
card and its working properly but what the device manager does show wronge is
that the 'Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator' has no driver. tried
updating the drive from my win xp sp1 cd and it says it cant update because
the driver is the same version as the one on the cd >:|

what should i do, reinstall sp2?

Hi Geowil,

Download the drivers from the sound card manufacturer's site, or from the CD (not the OS CD) provided.
