hi,
basically, windows comes with with we aplogise screen select safe mode,

but after couple seconds i see a quick blue screen, then it restarts.

i have tried recovery consle and fix boot. is there anything else i can
try, apart from reinstall windows?

Test the HDD, it may be died, test with the HDD manufacturer diagnostic tools.
Or your early Xmas list should include a new HDD ( if you can wait).

Glad it worked, make sure to check the error history in the event viewer to
track this down.
It could be an overheating issue or the HDD is going once, twice, gone!!,
good thing you done to back up your data.
Good luck.
