Hi,
A short while back, I posted about
finding modem settings that resulted in
an "involuntary fileserver"; and
briefly, my computer behaved as it did
when I first installed it; and before
I connected to the internet.
The powers of darkness have
re-whatever'd my computer, in a
different way, this time, and they're
hiding behind WinXP, again.
With the constant disconnects; I
suspect that this may be a defective
download, but SP2 was a suspicious
install, and I can't get a re-install;
so it may be the "installer".
At any rate, the difficult
download of "Windows Defender", and
equally broken downloads, of the
updates, is resulting in failed
updates.
Ken .
