Windows Defender Threat

Windows Defender reports that I have a threat. It won't show what the threat
is but does say it is in the Hosts file.

So I made a copy of the file and told Defender to fix the threat. Here is
what it deleted.

127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net

Where is the threat?

It's a tracking cookie.

Yes, and the hosts file entry disables that tracking cookie. That is why I
added it to the hosts file. By removing the entry Defender allows it to do
its tracking.

Haven't used Defender in a while, but is there a way to tell it to ignore
host file entries.
