Windows default Mail and News warning *Every* time I open Windows mail up!

M

Matthew Long

Hi, I've had a problem for a while now. Every time I open Windows Mail up,
or the news groups, I get a message saying Windows mail isn't my default
mail program, and asks if I want it to be. I click yes every time, but I
will still get this message when I open Windows Mail again the next day. Any
ideas?

Everything's works OK after I click this message. No other errors or
anything.

Cheers,

Matthew

Is there a check box on that dialog saying something like "Do not ask me
this again"?

If so, check it next time the message appears.

Yep, tried that, but still it asks me every time! It seems to only do it
once, every time I load up Vista, so I'm guessing a program is loading up,
and changing me default mail program every time. But I can't think what
program I've downloaded that'd cause this!!!

Set it the way you want, then find the Reg key that relates to this
setting and set the permissions so that no one can do anything but
read it.

OK, listen to the other guys (Dave-UK & +Bob+), then - I'm out of my depth
:)
