Windows crashes with blue screen error

I have been getting a sudden windows reboot with a blue screen with error
reporting that is too fast for me to see. The windows shuts down and
automatically reboots.. Upon reboot, microsoft says that an "unknown" device
driver caused the damage.. I have NO idea how to deal with this.. This
happens often but not all the time. I would really appreciate any help.. The
automatic reboot happens after I switch from being on-line to doing anything
else on the computer.. For example if I had been online for 5 hrs and then
double click my computer icon, the windows crashes.. Sometimes when the
window restarts after crashing, doing anything like double clicking any icon
will send it into windows crashing. It's VERY frustrating because it happens
at different times.. I have run Spyware and antivirus and they can't find
anything.. Can anyone help me?

Hi, Shahram.

Since so many computer problems are momentary and are solved by simply
rebooting, WinXP comes set by default to "Automatically restart" on "System
failure". But when a reboot doesn't fix it, we are left with no clue as to
what the actual problem is - unless we can read the Event Log.

Go to System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery\Settings; remove
the check from the Automatically restart box.

Next time, your computer will halt with the BSOD onscreen. You'll still
have to reboot (by pressing Restart), but you'll have all the time you need
to read the codes on the screen. If you can't figure it out, post the
message here and some guru (not me!) can probably point you in the right
direction. Copy verbatim at least the Stop code, including any drivers or
other files it mentions, and the strings of hexadecimal numbers.
