Windows boot up!

I am using Windows xp Home edition. Recently when I start
my computer, it takes so much time. Actually all the
icons appear on desktop but certain icons takes bit
longer on the task bar. Because of which I can not open
any icons (by double clicking) on the desktop, until all
the icons appears on the task bar. So, basically, my
computer takes longer to start up. To resolve this
problem I restored the my computer but the problem is
still the same.
I would really appreciate if you could give me some
solution how could i make my computer start faster.

Easy - get a faster computer! Seriously.... every app
(program) lengthens Windows .ini files and boot-up
procedure, so the more apps you install, the longer
Windows will take to boot up. As time goes on, your
system will take longer to boot up.
Aside from that, have you defragged the drives? That
will also slow things up.
