Windows Activation

XP SP2 wants me to activate XP. I did this wen I installed it and it wants
it again. This wouldn't bother me as I go through the steps to activate
online but when I get to the internet connection it doesn't connect to the
internet either with automatic settings or manually setting the proxy.

I can't get into windows to have a look at what is wrong as it only lets me
activate or log off, I am stuck.

Is it possible to bypass the activation at all, or am I able to connect on
to the internet and re activate?

Choose the option to activate by phone.
Call the displayed toll free number to Microsoft, done in about 5 minutes.
