Windows 98 can't see printer

I have windows 98, and an Hp 812c printer.

Although the printer shows up as intalled in the printers
folder, and the printer is properly hooked up (it used to
work), for some reason Windows tells me the printer is
not installed!!

How do I fix this. Re-installing the printer files does
not fix the problem.

Try posting this to a group that is specific to your printer model and
problem. This group supports printing from Outlook and any issues that
arise.
