Nice site, but M$ knows about lockin. Pretty hard to avoid these days when
PCs are cheaper to buy than build.

I wonder how Vista users feel now that Vista is a defunct OS?

Hey dipshit. Nobody is making you use their software. Why not go download that INFERIOR
Ubuntu and then see how you like it.

You are too stupid to use a Microsoft product.

This from someone who is using Windows XP.

I use Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both 64 bit and 32 bit. Oops.

One thing for certain - I don't use that INFERIOR Ubuntu that won't run any of the popular
software programs out there.

Ubuntu is worth exactly what you pay for it: NOTHING

Pretty much the same as with previous versions when another was to be
released. As usual I will wait until it's new PC time and then get a
suitably specified machine with the current version installed, there are
always advances but I can wait. My versions of Vista don't seem to know
that they are defunct and are still buzzing along nicely.

What are these "popular" programs?

HA HA HA - You've never heard of Office? Never heard of Word or Excel you dumb shit?

HA HA HA - Loser.

Ever hear of Adobe Photoshop? Probably not. I am sure you don't get out of your trailer very
often. Just FYI.
I would think for something to rate as popular, at least 20% of Windows
users should have it.

Problem is you don't think.
If 500,000,000 users have Windows, then you're looking at 100,000,000.

Did you pull those numbers out of your ass? I think so.

Only AV software comes close to that.

So, these "popular" programs are Anti-Virus programs.

Your logic is skewed. Stick with Ubuntu. IDIOT.

Yeah, I have it.
Doubt there are 100,000,000 installs of it(legally).
But, even so, that is one ... and Open Office is available if a user doesn't
want Office.

I out-think you.

I'll bet. When you get to work, I am sure you can tell the difference between the mop and the
bucket.

It's why linux works well for me.

You use Linux because it's free and you can't afford a legal copy of Windows. Just FYI.
Its an estimate.

You are still full of shit.
Still means your Popular program needs 100,000,000 installs.
Got one?

I don't use ubuntu, idiot.

So you use a pirated copy of Windows? Better save up money to purchase a legit copy.

I am not a OS bigot, I have on one machine or another Vista, XPee, Solaris,
Ubuntu, Fedora (may fav Linux) and even OpenBSD. OpenBSD is a good OS to
use to have MS-Windows with, especially if they are using wireless.

Good catch, looks like Bill doesn't use Vista posting either. You would
think with Win 7 beta, at least that one.

I don't have Win 7 Beta. I have Win 7 RTM.

HA HA HA - Loser.

You are the loser. I run Open Office on XP, Vista, 3 Linux and Solaris.

I took the money saved on M$-Office and bough beer, a lot of beer.

Adobe is so last century.
Problem is you don't think.

I don't know of a MS-Windows user who has bought it themselves. And less
than 1 in 25 at work. Did you know Open Office saves in PDF quite easily?

Did you pull those numbers out of your ass? I think so.

At 500 M, isn't that about MS claims for Vista?

Bet Microsoft does not want to divulge how may were OEM purchases. Or how
many get wiped clean off the disk for XPee or Linux.

Last I checked, off the shelf versions of Vista looked quite dusty at my
Best Buy. Isn't like Windows 95 where they sold out.

So you must not have read the content on the web site you posted. What a bunch of crap.

Adobe is so last century.

Yea maybe in your world.
Go GIMP along.

Again your pulling numbers out your ass. Who cares if Open Sores Office saves in PDF? If you
can't afford Microsoft Office, use Open Sores office.

At 500 M, isn't that about MS claims for Vista?

Who cares about the numbers of the popular software programs out there. The fact is to run the
most popular software programs you need the most popular OS. Simple.

You want to play around with Ubuntu and waste your time, go ahead.
Bet Microsoft does not want to divulge how may were OEM purchases. Or how

Not very many get wiped clean for Linux. If they do, the users realize how bad Linux is and
reinstall Windows.

Yea, you keep going to Best Buy. Take your computer there when it's broken.

Some is, but much of it is not.

Look at the advantages of open source. Try before you commit. No licensing
issues to try it. Still have your money if you change your mind. No
extortionary bunding, back doors or DRM. Most often the same tools work on
UNIX, Linux, Mac and M$.

Heck, going from MS-Office 2003 to Open Office is a much more simple task
than going from MS-Office to MS-Office 2008. You are drunk or never tried
it if you don't think so.

MS Office is probably one.
After all, I have it.

Who says that a program has to have 20% usage to be popular? Go to any big box store and look
at the most popular programs out there. You will see video editing, music software, typing
software, etc.... I am not going to name them. If you are not smart enough to know them, you
have no business being here.

Of course not. Who the hell uses Linux on the desktop?
When I want photo-editing software, I download it.

Thats nice. When I want photo-editing software, I download it also.
They sell lot's of AV software for Windows.

I use AVG and Avast. They are free for home users.
The rest of the software looks lame.
Like software to design your own deck...woooo, gotta have that!

So you can add a deck to your single-wide trailer?

Then why don't most businesses use OO? There is a reason. Most home users use Microsoft
Office. They would rather pay for quality software than use that INFERIOR Open Source Office.

I have tried Open Source Office. It takes you back about 10 years in technology. No wonder
nobody uses it except students and the poor.
