Windows 2008 R2 Domain controller

We are running a windows 2003 native mode domain. I have just added a
windows 2008 R2 domain controller to our domain successfully. I want to
transfer the fsmo roles to this server, are there any issues with
transferring these roles to a windows 2008 DC in a windows 2003 domain. Any
issues i should be aware of.

Hello guv,

Before moving them run the support tools dcdiag /v and repadmin /showrepl
on each DC to check for errors. If both are error free you can safely transfer
the FSMO roles to the new one, i would also make it DNS and GC if not already
done.
