Windows 2003 Terminal Services

I have a windows 2003 standard server with Sp1. It has terminal services
installed in application mode. We have installed some important
applications on this server.

The problem I have is that I now want to remove terminal services from the
server. I need to know what the affect this will have on the server most
importantly on my applications. Will my applications on this server still
work once i removed terminal services.

Also I have enabled remote desktop on this server, will this allow me to
remotely connect to the server after terminal servers is removed.

*** Shouldn't be a problem but ask the application developer.
