Windows 2003 Server not seeing USB

S

shocker

I have seen this same issue posted over a year ago. Now I'm having the
same problem.
When I plug in my USB drive (in any USB port), the drive letter does
not appear. The drive is recognized as a mass storge device, but is not
accessibl. The paticular drive is 20GB Fujitsu. It used work a week
ago.

I have flash disk that works fine, so what gives with the 20GB drive.
It works on other WinXP computers an even works on the current computer
when booted to WinXP (so it isn't a hardware problem).

It's probably trying to use a drive letter that already being used. Try
reassigning the jump drive letter in Disk Management. Start|Run|diskmgmt.msc
