Windows 2003 Native Trust to Windows 2000 domain

Our network currently consists of all Windows 2003 DC's. The domain is
running in Windows 2000 native mode. We currently have an external trust
between our domain and another in the building. This other domain trusts
us, but we don't trust them.

We want to raise the forest/domain functionality level to Windows 2003
native. As I said we are at Windows 2000 native right now. Will our trust
arrangement continue to work if we upgrade to 2003 native?

Along that thread - i saw something noting we would be able to track user
login's or something to that affect. Anyone know how this occurs?
