| I had a similar problem with an IBM Netvista desktop, as it turned out,
the
| XP Pro machine was taking 3-4 minutes to boot up.

| Upon further investigation and a lot of reading, I had to re-install the
| drivers for video, network and motherboard in a different installation
| order.

| I know it sounds crazy, but that was the answer and the system boots in
less
| than 30 seconds now.

| I believe that I used a MS tool called Boot Vis to isolate the actual
| problem.
