Windows 2000 Setup problem

I have bought a new IBM Deskstar 120GXP, 80GB HDD, tried
installing Windows2000Pro on it, machine config is Intel
D850MV board, 256MB-PC800-RDRAM, 2Ghz CPU, Benq CDROM, all
working fine earlier, after installing new HDD, various
start menu items missing, few control panel items missing,
tried various things like setting up the same OS on other
HDD, same problem in that too, I dont know what could be
wrong, could anyone help please?

May be as simple as running a 'modify instalation' and installing the
missing addins
Control Panel/Add Remove Programs ......Add/remove Win components
