Windows XP Windows 2000 server prob. coz of gpmc.msi ???

i try to install gpmc.msi in windows 2000 server but it give me this msg:

" you must be running windows XP SP1 or windows server 2003 build 3602 or later to install microsoft group policy management console with sp1"

????

so how to solve this prob.

Look, seriously, you can't run GPMC on 2K. So don't waste your time trying.

You've asked a question and it has been answered pretty much in the error you got back.
Techy was only reiterating what was said in the error.

The reason?

Microsoft obviously did not want to add the functionality to 2000. Thus forcing the upgrade to XP and beyond........

Apparently you can get around this on a Win2K domain by installing the tool on an XP SP1 client PC.
