Windows 2000 server in Windows NT domain

M J Callaghan

Can a windows 2000 server, either as a stand-alone server
or a domain controller, join an existing Windows NT
domain, or does the PDC of the domain have to be upgraded
first (ie, so the server will actually be joining a
windows 2000 domain).

Please can somebody help?

Yes, it can join as a standalone server (acting just like any Windows 2000
computer), but not as a DC.
Be sure to research this topic fully and prepare before starting the
migration from an NT domain to 2000.
