windows 2000 server dual boot installation freezing

I have a dell laptop with windows 2000 professional - i need to configure it to dual boot with windows 2000 server on it. The system crashed when loading the server on the first install. When I boot up my laptop it gives me the boot option to either start professional or server, but server will not load. Now I am trying to boot off of the win2000 setup boot disk to reload server and it doesn't get past the initial screen that states "Setup is loading files (Machine Identification Data)..." What is my next step.

Thanks,
Lola

- Which partition is Win2000 on?
- Does it still work?
- Which partition did you want to put Win2000 Server on?

The first primary partition holds System Commande
The second primary partition holds Windows 2000 professiona
I would like to put Windows 2000 server on to the 3rd primary partition

While I know how other boot managers work, I'm not familiar with System
Commander. I would probably do this:

- Make the third partition visible
- Hide the other partitions
- Temporarily disable the boot manager
- Load Win2000
- Re-enable the boot manager
