Windows 2000 Professional

I lost my desktop and when I tried to use the disk for
reinstalling Windows 2000 Professional I get an error
message stating that setup failed. The D:\I386\NT5INF.CAT
catalog file could not be found. The error code is 1.

Prior to reinstalling I was able to access my programs
through task manager, but now I can't bet my computer to
start. When I restart the computer it goes to setup
windows 2000 promtping me to insert the Cd then I am ask
to enter the file path but the computer does nothing its
when I cancel that I get the above message.

Can anyone advise how to correct/fix this problem.

For some reason Win2000 cannot access your CD-ROM. See if this MS Knowledge
