wINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL LICENSE

I have (obviously) a licensed Windows 2000 Professional CD loaded here at
work, but would like to load this same CD onto my home computer. Can I do
that using only one license (the computer at home is also used for work
purposes) or do I need to purchase another?

You need to purchase a separate Win2K license for each computer on
which you install it.

As it has *always* been with *all* Microsoft operating systems,
it's necessary (to be in compliance with both the EULA and U.S.
copyright law http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/117.html), if not
technically) to purchase one WinXP license for each computer on which it
is installed. (Consult an attorney versed in copyright law to determine
final applicability in your locale.)

Besides, doesn't that copy of Win2K on your work computer belong to
your employer? You might want to find out his policy towards emnployees
who steal company property.
