Hi All
I am currently having problems logging off my Windows 2000 under my
username. I can logon and logoff fine under my other usernames but this
certain one i can get on fine but when i go start > shutdown > logoff under
this username my desktop just pops back up no matter how many times i click
logoff nothing else happens. I do notice that the first time i click logoff
and my desktop comes back up a few of my system tray icons close when i click
logoff as if it is trying to close but something stopping it? Anyone seen
this before please help.

Cheers

You probably have a corrupted username profile. Delete the problem
username then recreate it.

Did you delete the problem profile properly, ie when you next logged on
as admin, it was no longer there, or showed as a folder in 'Documents
and Settings'? A user cannot logon if hids profile does not exist so
what do you mean by 'they next logon' and 'it recreates a new one'? What
is 'it'? Unless other users are also administrators, only they cannot
create profiles.
