Windows 2000 Pro Admin Override

Comcast has recently set up home networking for my computers and has changed my local domain to "Workgroup". After reboot, my computer will no longer recognize my login or the Administrator Login to start the system.

Is there a way to override the system and set a new local domain and admin password without losing all of my information? I have called Comcast, but they cannot do anything without the Administrative password.

Nothing works....need help

thanks

Is your network connected to a router or gateway? If so
you need to access the router through the IP address (see
installation guide) and change the settings. Then you need
to change the settings in each computer by accessing the
lan icon on your desktop or wherever the PCI lan adapter
icon is (i think you can get to it through Network
Connections/right click on your connection and go to
properties. All settings must match including WEP code,
channel, BSSID, etc. Hope this works if not have them
come out and do it, they should provide same day service.
