Windows 2000 - Printer Canon S 400 conflict

Hi,

I recently upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. Since
then I have a conflict with my printer (Canon S400). As
soon as I try to print, the printer starts and then my
computer reboots.

I have loaded Windows 2000 sp4 and the latest printer
drivers from the Canon website, but to no avail.

I have uninstalled my printer, reinstalled etc still no
luck.

I did not experience any problems with windows 98.

Please help !!!

My basic hardware is :

700 Hz AMD processor,
128mg Ram,
20 Gig harddrive
CD rom etc.

It sounds like your Canon driver has a problem.
I have seen this with other printer drivers too.
One way to get around the problem is to use
a driver for a similar Canon printer.

Check your printer drivers, confirm that it's for win2000.

or change old drivers.
