Windows 2000 Pop-Up Messenger Service

Does anyone know how to stop the gray Messenger Service
boxes from popping up? If so, please email me @

Block ports 1026, 1027 and 135 from the internet or, if not
needed, which is more often than not, DISABLE the messenger
service.

Install a firewall for your computer, either a NAT router device [available
at Best Buy, etc] at the cable/dsl modem if using one or a personal firewall
such as Zone Alarm that offers a free one to users that is easy for even
novices to configure. See the link below for more security measures that are

download the app. Instead of messing with services manually, the program
will disable that nasty Windows messenger popup for you.
