Windows 2000 Mp3 Preview...

How can I turn this thing off? It's aggrivating me to
death because the preview thing has to scan each song
before it can let me edit the file name or something.
Anyone know how I could turn it off? It's like... the
built-in player in the window where there's audio/video
file and it's kind of automatic. I just want to turn it
off because my computer isn't very fast and it takes too
much time for it to scan every song I click on. Let me
know if anyone can help.

Yes
1. go to C:\WINNT\Web
2. find the hidden/system file called folder.htt
3. make a backup of this file in case you want to change
it back (call it folderold.htt or someting)
4. Open folder.htt with notepad
5. Delete the line <span id=MediaPlayerSpan>
6. Save your changes and close the file

Now media player wont pop up all the time!
