Windows 2000 memory upgrade.

Hello,

Need some help!!

I have a Compaq Deskpro EN P667 that I am trying to image and then
upgrade with memory.
I have created a new Windows 2000 platform with a related software
installed. I then ran Sysprep and created an Image using Ghost 7.5.
After the image was successsfully created, I then loaded the image
onto another Deskpro EN P667. The image loaded successfully and
Sysprep worked the way it was suppose to.
When the image was created, the system had 256MB of RAM. When I loaded
the image on a different system, it also had 256MB of RAM.
The problem is, if I try to upgrade the RAM after the image is dumped
on a system, such as above, the Windows 2000 Pro will only see 256MB
of RAM.

Just a quick recap,

Image made with 256MB of RAM
Image dumped on same with 256MB of RAM
Upgrade PC to 512MB of RAM.
System Bios detects 512MB of RAM but Windows 2000 Pro still only see's
256MB of RAM.

Help!!!

Thanks in advance...

Check your boot.ini to make certain it does not have a maxmem statement.
There is nothing hard configured in Windows related to memory. It will
use whatever memory is available to it each bootup.
