Windows 2000 Hangs

I installed a video driver and now the computer will not
go past the Starting Windows 2000 screen; once the little
horizontal dotted line goes accross, it just sits there
filled.

It will not go into Safe Mode (including command prompt)
or even the last known good configuration; it just does
the same thing; I cannot even go into VGA mode only
(weird!).

There was no Emergency repair disk and my client does not
know his Administrator password, so I cannot use the
Recovery Console.

I have set the cmos for all optimized defaults;

All smart alecking aside, I am sure I am missing
something; anyone have a clue?

Thanks,
dm

Without the admin password there is really not much you can do. But let me point you or the customer would NOT have been able to install video drivers successfully without getting into the Administrator account. So that tells me the video drivers were not installed correctly.

This tool lets you reset the admin password so that
you can get into the Recovery Console:

There is a remote chance that renaming "system" to
"system.bad", and "system.alt" to "system" will fix
the problem. You can do this while in Command Console
mode.
