Windows 2000 Explorer View Details

When I go into Windows 2000 Explorer I always get
the "large icons" and I prefer the "details" no matter
which sub-directory I'm in. Is there anyway to
make "details" the default for all my folders in
Explorer? P.S. I can't believe that the "large icons" is
the default when you first load the software!

With Windows Explorer OPEN:
CLICK TOOLS, FOLDER OPTIONS and then the VIEW TAB
Make sure that "Remember each folder's view settings" is checked.

Then whenever you open the folder, let's say the root of C, and change it to
DETAIL view . . . it should stay when you come back

HINT: If you always want the DETAIL view for every folder, then first change
the view of the folder you are viewing to detail view, then go CLICK TOOLS,
FOLDER OPTIONS and then the VIEW TAB and click the button LIKE CURRENT
FOLDER . . . that should make all folders use the DETAIL view . . .

ENJOY.
