Windows 2000 Domains & XP Pro

I have two labs (55 workstations total) that experience
the following problem... When I press CTRL-ALT-DEL to log
on and try to select a domain, I get the message "Please
wait while the domain list is created". This takes 5-10
minutes and then I can select the first of three domains
in the list. If I try to select one of the other two, the
process repeats. If the machines are booted and you wait
about 15-20 minutes before trying to log on, this doensn't
happen. I have three domains, all running on Windows
Server 2000. There are two domain controllers for each
domain. These workstations were added to the domain using
the "netdom" utility because of Symantec Ghost's
incompatibility with FQDNs longer than 15 characters.

I asked an XP support professional and they rejected my
message because it is a W2K Active Directory problem. Any
Ideas? I don't have paid support for server products.

Make sure DNS is correct setup, and define at your clients. this means the
first DNS entry in TCP/IP Settings should point to the Domain Controller
with AD integrated dns zone for your Domains. Make sure you can ping your
domain name by FQDN from your workstations.
