Windows 2000 display problem: full white screen

I use windows2000 with AMD Duron 700 processor, It runs
for 2 years, recently I have a problem with display. about
25 minutes normal running after start up, the display
becomes white and full screen, although running
application are still going on (real player decodes well,
sound is OK, some IE windows are still visible), but the
display is only full white screen.I cannot see the
application windows, what I can do is to use alt F4 to
close all applications or use alt+ctl+del to restart my PC
(sometimes, even these actions will not work).

I ajust the display to 800*600, and reinstall my ATI
graphic card, but the problem presists. I also use latest
Norton antivirus software to check my PC, no virus has
been found.Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my PC and
how cope with this
problem?

Yr video card going down?
Try setting to stnd vga mode if all is ok with that then its yr video card
Otherwise yr monitor is on the blink
