Windows 2000 and Cisco VPN client ping issue

R

Romain Pelissier

Hi,
I have a strange problem with Windows 2000 sp4 where the latest cisco vpn
client is installed.
Please note that I do not want to use a vpn connection, the problem occurs
evry time the box is connecting on the domain in the network.
It seems that this workstation can ping and reach the other pcs on the
network, but the others can't access to its shares and event can't ping it.
It fact, it can ping this pc for a while and then I have a time out
(veryfing username and password boot time), it seems to happen when the vpn
service fires. When the vpn client is removed, I can ping this pc.
I try to remove the computer account and add it again because I thought that
the computer browser service is the problem, but it's not, all seems to be
related to the vpn client.

Any suggestions will be very appreciated.
