having problems with my xp professional ,it says that it is a counterfit,
how do i get rid of my windows xp professional to in stall something else. do
not have a disc for xp professional,

i toke my computor to a shop and he put it on for me,it says now that it is
not gunine, do not want to spend 200 dollars on a new one.

So you took the computer to a shop - he puts XP Pro on it - doesn't give you
a disk - guess he didn't charge you for putting XP Pro on - can you see
where this is going?

The legitimate XP costs money - end of. You either pay it or you don't.

I would go back to the shop, tell the owner what happened and get his
reaction.

i realize that now, but know nothing about computors, so when he said he
updated it for me , i thought it was just a good dead,,,, boy i was wrong, so
now what and how do i get rid of all the xp professional, components so i
can put my old one back on , got a dell..

I agree with Mike!!! If they are putting illegal copies of Windows on
in a business environment, they can get in a lot of trouble. You may
also want to give Dell a call. Depending on the age of your PC you
might be able to restore it to the way it was previous to the new XP
installation.
