Window XP professional Installation

I have windows XP Home edition in my computer . How do I
install the Windows XP professional in this computer . I
do not want to keep Windows XP home edition any more . So
Do I have to uninstall the XP Home edition or can Install
the XP Professional on the top of the Home Edition . If I
have to unistall the XP Home Edition please let me know
how to do that

Unless you need the ability to join a Domain, IIS, or the extra security,
you may not need to upgrade to Pro. Functionality and stability are the same
except for the added features.
Do an upgrade, as upgrading to Pro from Home is almost the same as repair
installing Home. You can use the XP Pro upgrade version to clean install.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.

You can do an upgrade--install Professional on top of Home.
