Window wont open

Having trouble opening some pages on the net. One was a secure payment page,
the receipt page would not open and a collage web mail page was the same. Got
a java pop up on the bottom tool bar but java is up to date. I am using
AVG8.5.
I am thinking that it could be something simply like something un clicked in
te OP end,but i dont know

Using Firefox and the AVG is AVG Internet Security 8.5 not the free version,its not an actual pop up as pop up's go,just any attempt to open the mentioned pages dont work and the java icon appears in the tray on the bottom right of the screen

I think I would try seeking help from the AVG and Firefox forums.

there is a freeware that
scans the system for old
java programs and removes
them, leaving the most
current one installed.

its called java ra.

perhaps, having only
the most current java
installed will resolve
the issue.

certainly wouldn't hurt.
