window start up problem

Hi!

I used a 'system restore' for my HP computer. However it
frozed suddenly.
From then onwards, everytime I start up my PC (and after
the 'windows Pro' screen), I have this blue screen that
says the file 'UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME'
had a problem. [Technical information: STOP:0x000000ED
(0x80E28E30,
0xC000009C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)]. Could anyone tell me
what the problem
is or how to fix it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks !

Was the "system restore" a CD from HP, a utility you ran from HP, or the
System Restore utility from Microsoft?

It was the system restore utility from HP. NOT THE CD FOR
MICROSOFT.

gotcha

You may be able to get a original restore cd from
http://www.ambry.com. They usually carry all of them. All you need
is the correct part number from hp.
