Window size problem.

When I click on a link in a full size window to bring up a new one the new
window is small, about half size. I can correct this by stretching the new
window to fill the screen, and then if I close the new window and go back to
the original page immediately and link to that window again, it will be full
size. However, this fix doesn't hold once I leave the original url. If I
go back to it after working at another site, I have the same problem all
over again.

Is there some setting somewhere that may be causing this?

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

As I described, I did stretch the small window and closed it last; last,
that is, relative to the parent site. And it did remember as long as I
stayed with that site. The problem is when I go another site and come back,
or reboot, it doesn't remember. I've had no luck holding down Ctrl when
clicking on the X to close, as I've seen suggested before.

Couldn't wake up that mcshi.com site.

Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.

You must close it last, as stated. You do not appear to be doing that.
Close the parent site first or stretch that window in the same way
instead of maximizing it.
You only have to do it once normally.
