Windos Media Player for Vista (issues)

I have Vista Home premium, My Media Player pauses and hangs with any video I
try to watch, including streaming video, I Have tried everything I can think
of to fix the issue. Also it does not happen in the Media center, but I
cannot watch my online content through that. is there any help for this?

I had the same problem with Vista's media player too. It was fine at first
but quickly began to have problems that I could not resolve.

The fix (at least for me) was to download Media Player Classic Latest
version is 6.4.9.0

Some routers (linksys) choke on anything but HTTP streaming protocol. Try
setting Options-Network-Protocol Settings to HTTP only.

What sound card do you have?
What video card do you have?

This all should be pretty deterministic - most problems within this arena
should likely be sourced to audio/video device drivers.
