win98 and Outlook

Can outlook run on windows 98?
how do i get Outlook? or its part of another program,?
I just need a good calendar/appointment type program.
I dont have a net connection to that PC.

Outlook can run on Windows 98, but only versions up through Outlook 2002 --
the current version, Outlook 2003, requires Windows 2000 or XP to run. It's
not a free program, either, and it's not cheap...so you might want to look
into something simpler.

I just saw your reply to PA Bear in another thread -- Outlook 97 should work
fine under Windows 98. Just remember it's a very old program and Microsoft
no longer provides official support or updates for it. However, these
newsgroups are always here for you if you have questions.

I just saw your reply to PA Bear in another thread -- Outlook 97
should work fine under Windows 98.

The OP should keep in mind that Outlook 97 can't be used for outgoing mail
with any ISP that requires authentication to the outgoing server.
