Win95 driver keeps asking for administrator rights under Win2k

I'm running Windows 2000 with all updates installed.

Trying to install this joystick driver that was meant for Windows 95.

Suppose to be the SETUP.EXE files from the original disk supplied with
the joystick.

I alway get this error message even when I have administrator rights.

=======================================================
Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro Setup.

You must be an Administrator to install this product.

Normal install via the Control Panel/Control Options says it is ok,
but the application "Team Apache" can't see the joystick. So I'm
trying to install the original drivers. Using another joystick type
worked ok.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Win95 driver are for DOS based Windows. Windows 2000 is NT based. Stop
trying to hose the operating system. Go get the Windows 2000 drivers and
install those.
