win32/zlob.gen-HELP

If anyone has any advice...please help! On Sat. my son downloaded "Windows
XP Antivirus 2008" and since then it's been a disaster. I just downloaded the
Malicious Software Removal Tool and it detected Win32/zlob.gen. After the
full scan was completed the report stated that the Trojan was removed. It
instructed me to restart, but my computer didn't shut down on its own. After
several attempts I had to turn it off manually. When I turned the computer
back on....voila...there it still was. What can I do to get rid of this
thing?
