Win32.dll

Can anyone advise whether win32.dll should "change"
My virus checker AVG has shown this as "changed" but does not flag it as a
critical problem.
(WinXP, OE6, IE6, AVG)

There are three to four files that AVG shows as changed following updates.
This is normal.

Well, did you do any Windows updates that might replace that file?
Are we supposed to guess the *path* to that file? Some applications,
like Perl, include their own copy. At the present, that is the only
copy of win32.dll that I have (i.e., there is no such file in my
current WinXP Pro SP-2 setup that has this file anywhere under the
C:\Windows folder).

If you use AVG I think he is talking about the window that shows scanning
progress. There are four files that sometimes are listed there as having
been "changed" since the last scan.

Thanks Colin,
My mind rests easier now.

"win32.dll" does not belong to WinXP. Find out its origin (location,
file properties). There are some Google hits referring to malware.
