Win2K support for WPA ?

Does Win2K support WiFi Protected Access (WPA)? WPA is
much more secure than WEP, so I want to use it on a SMC
WiFi certified PC card. SMC says check with MS for OS
support. I can't find any mention of WPA on MS site. SMC
has updated driver that supports WinXP, but will this work
on Win2K? Am I stuck if SMC won't provide updated driver
for WPA support on Win2K?

"For wireless clients running Windows 2000 (or clients running Windows XP
SP1 or Windows Server 2003 and using a wireless network adapter that does
not support the Wireless Zero Configuration service), you must obtain and
install a new WPA-compliant configuration tool from your wireless network
adapter vendor."
