Win2k in reboot loop

I'm running Win2k on a network (all current updates
installed) and the computer keeps rebooting at the Windows
2000 status bar screen. I can get into the boot screen
(F8) and I have tried all options but to no avail.

This isn't the blue screen problem either. I can not get
into the computer at all, it goes to the Windows screen
and the status bar fills up and then it re-boots. Our IT
guy is saying the computer is shot but I'm not going to
give up on it that fast. I have contemplated using a boot
disc but I'm not sure about that.(If anyone knows where I
might be able to find one it would be appreciated)

Cheers,
BB

I had a similar problem after installing an AntiVirus software that had a built-in firewall. Did you change anything on that system recently? I am surprised that you can't get in using safe-mode. Do you have a rescue disk?
