Win2k cluster design info..

Hi Guys,

I am trying to setup a Win2k Advanced Server cluster. This
is a part of our testing.
I need to know the hardware required to setup a minimum
cluster configuration.

I am trying to do this on Vectra VL420 PC!! These PC's
ships with a Intel NIC, IDE hard drives and PCI Slots for
add-on's cards. The number of nodes supported on Windows2k
Advanced server is 2 and thats what i am looking for. So,
I need the following,..

1) A SCSI Card on each node
2) Two SCSI HDD's on each node
3) Two NIC's on each node...

So, each node would have 2 NIC's and 2 HDD's
On each node we have two NIC's one for the public network
and the other for private. How do i connect this private
network?? I assume we need to connect these two NIC's
meant for private over a separate HUB or a cross cable???
Is that right..??

Also, Plan to mirror the two HDD's.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi

As far as I know you need the storage connected to a
shared bus so either one or the other machine can
exclusively own the storage (shared hard disks).
That is not possible with standard IDE, you need SCSI and
external storage box, or a custom IDE box that allows the
interface to be owned by one or the other.
