Win XP Tablet Edition - maximum number of connections

Hi to all.

I've got a tablet PC with Windows XP on it. I'm trying to share one of
it's folders so I could access it from other computers. The problem is
that Win XP does not allow me to allow more than 10 concurrent
connections and I need at least 30 stimultanous connections to that share.

Is it possible to configure this somewhere in control panel or by
changing something in the registry? Please let me know what should I do.

Thanks for any information

Hi,

In order to exceed the limitation of 10 concurrent connections one must use
a Server OS (on the Host PC). Windows XP (both Home and Professional) are
Desktop OS's, not Server OS's. However, Windows NT (Server, not
WorkStation) is. So is Windows 2000 Server (not Professional). So is
Windows 2000 Advanced Server (kinda obvious by it's name). I have no
experience with Windows 2003, so I can't say for sure how many simultaneous
connections it can handle.

Thanks Alan,

You have confirmed my worst thoughts. There is no other way but
switching to Linux.
