WIn Xp Set up PRoblem

I got a NEC Versa SX laptop at a garage sale. IT has Win
XP PRo operating system. I installed a Intel camera
software on it and got errors and some programs would not
work that was part of Win XP (games) so since I did not
have the original WIN XP PRO CD, I tried to install with
another WIN XP PRO version CD and during set up I get a
fatal error stating that the component file does not match
the verification present in the component manifest...It
just keeps going to the setup everytime I reboot and gives
me this error message. IT will not allow me to go to safe
mode because it thinks I am trying to install. HOw do I
fix this?

It sounds like you may be stuck and will need to reinstall XP. Transferring
title on a PC with Windows installed and not including the original
installation media with Product Key and documentation is a violation of the
EULA.

If the XP Pro installation CD you used has already been used for an existing
installation on another PC, then it cannot be used to install on another PC
without using another purchased license with a new product key.
