Win XP Professional Autologon & MSDE

My Windows XP Pro has MSDE installed. System is set up for
auto logon for a restricted user. MSDE is not starting
when the system is logging On automatically. If I log off
and log on again with the same restricted user, it starts
normally with enabled MSDE.

If I give administrator permission to the above said user,
MSDE is started in the first logon itself.

MSDE is a service, and should start automatically, regardless of who logs on. Are you referring to the Microsoft SQL Server Service Manager that resides in the System Tray?
