win xp problems, need help to resolve

is there any way to uninstall xp and re-install it to it's original state,
windows recovery does not work because of a program downloaded some time ago
and interfered with the system, i need to know if i can create a startup disk
and remove xp, if so can xp be installed with the disks that came with my
computer, it's a reinstallation disk but it says do not load this cd, please
help me

If you have a Recovery Disk but not a WinXP CD then you have to use
the Recover Disk. Usually it's a fresh image of
the original WinXP that came with your computer. If you can , it's
best to go to the Computer Manufacturer or Dealers
website and see if they have recovery information.
