Win XP Pro Install on Intel 965 Chipset M/B Failure

Hi, I have just upgraded a new Intel 965 Chipset Motherboard.
I started to install a new Win XP Pro setup on it. This is a pre-SP2 install
disc.
I understand this (M/B) is a x-64 board, but will accept the standard XP
software.
Anyway, my problem is, it installs, and when I get to the Key Code, I get a
message saying it is invalid, however it was woking before I changed the
board.
I have even decided to reformat my old board, and restall the OS, and it
worked okay, as it should.
As I mentioned the manual says it allows a Standard XP Pro install.
Can someone please advise what this may be the problem.
For those interested, the M/B is a ASUS P5B Deluxe, running a Intel Pentium
4, 3.0G 533, LGA775 socket CPU.
I don't really want to buy a new OS system, I already own 4 copies,
including this computer copy.
Any help would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

To resolve your issue, you can easily make a new Windows XP Pro
CD with SP2 slipstreamed in, then install.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

or

AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (preferred)

Is the copy of XP you're installing a "retail" version (came in it's own
fancy box) or an OEM version (came with the computer)?

If it's the latter then it's considered to be tied to the computer it came
with, and this is rationalised to mean the motherboard these days, so this
would probably explain what you're seeing.
